We are kicking off a new series this month all about marriage and relationships, and I could not be more excited to have our friends Nick and Cristen Lawson on the show!

They are in our life group at church and just two people Emily and I do life with. They are newlyweds — they got married in October — so I loved hearing the perspective of such a young married couple. Don't be fooled by that, though, because they brought some serious wisdom that I think we all can use.

I love how intentional they are with their time together. They only have a TV in the guest room and rarely watch it and never really spend time on their phones when they're together. They've got several other little things they do to make sure they stay intentional with their time while still allowing for spontaneity.

They're also an interracial couple, and that's such a needed perspective for all of us to hear right now.
