Theresa Merk war eine talentierte Spielerin und schaffte einst mit dem VfL Sindelfingen den Aufstieg in die Frauen-Bundesliga. Doch anstatt in der Beletage auf Torejagd zu gehen, übernahm sie als Trainerin die eigene U17. Die Karriere als Spielerin war vorbei, fortan sorgte Merk als Trainerin für Furore. Seit diesem Sommer ist die ehemalige Co-Trainer des VfL Wolfsburg Cheftrainerin bei den Grasshoppers Zürich. Ein Gespräch über Frauenfußball, Vorbehalte, Belastungssteuerung und Eiskunstlauf.
