On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast (11/23/21), Hank shares about his travels to Singapore and Cambodia, and the suffering he saw there, including the Khmer Rouge Killing Fields. Cambodia was once a prosperous country, but it has gone from a first-world country to a third-world country. This underscores what Lee Kuan Yew, first Prime Minister of Singapore, said: that all civilization is essentially fragile. The social experiment of Pol Pot led to the deaths of millions of people and is a sobering reminder that ideas have consequences. Cambodia’s culture is largely Buddhist, which is a religion that cannot offer hope. Buddhism teaches that all life is suffering, and the source of suffering is desire. Eliminating desire and attaining Nirvana is done through the eightfold path. In contrast to this, The Christian Research Institute has the unique opportunity to reach people around the world with the truth of Christianity.
