Chicago Police shortage, ONE IN EVERY SIX gone, DEFUND the police, CONSENT DECREE at risk

Do we need to turn down the temperature on Defund the Police? A Chicago Sun-Times WatchDog Investigation revealed one in six police has left CPD since 2016. The city cannot afford to lose more officers, yet the rhetoric continues to discourage safe, collaborative, community policing, especially coming from our highest officials and the media.
Studies showing correlations between black perspectives on policing and black churches receiving more messaging about politics and racism could help intervene before the next police incident occurs.
