On this episode, we discuss the first four stages in Dr. Gregory Stanton’s “Ten Stages of Genocide”, which was first published in 1996 and enhanced in 2012. We compare the events in human history that have led to genocide, as well as discussing where we are in our world today with (possible) future genocide, and parallels in Star Wars to the Jedi Purge, the genocide orchestrated by Palpatine at the end of the prequel trilogy. We also talk about possible solutions and roadblocks to fighting genocide as well as pushing back on Dr. Stanton’s recommendations (involving the UN and international courts….yikes)
