During the first years of our lives, our most important task is to bond with our primary caregiver, in order to ensure we are cared for and looked after. Many parents however were abusive, neglectful or were unable to consistently show up for their kids for whatever reason. These children adapt, and learn how to survive and get by in these environments, but grow into adults that repeat similar patterns in their own relationships. Chris Pye is a Relationship Counsellor and very experienced therapist who shares insight into attachment injuries, and discusses ways to heal from the past in order to have healthy and secure relationships.
