Omega 3’s are fatty acids that have a double bond at the 3rdcarbon atom from the end of the carbon chain. This episode touches on 4 of those. Check out Episode 13 for a deeper dive.
· EPA (Found in fish oil. An essential fatty acid required by the body, must be consumed in the diet)
· DHA (Found in fish oil. An essential fatty acid required by the body, must be consumed in the diet)
· ALA (Found in flax seed, but it must be converted by the body to EPA and DHA)
· ETA (Found in the New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel. Helpful in joint pain, arthritis, inflammation)
