It’s 27 degrees this morning in the Treasure Valley we’ve had fog, It is 12 in Poky,9 in IF. Northern Idaho, it’s 27 this morning in CDA and a bit colder in Sandpoint…. Scattered snow later in the week.

On to the markets:

At the CBOT, open corn futures are at $4.50, up 13 cents. Corn futures open higher to start the new week. President Trump signed the main government funding bill on Sunday, including the estimated $900 billion coronavirus stimulus package.

As trading wrapped up for Christmas, wheat futures were mixed. SRW futures are climbing back from last Xmas eve's lows but still ended 2 cents weaker. This morning HRW futures are up a penny in the front months. HRedSpring futures are 2 to 4 cents higher at the close.

Milk inching up, now trading at $15.71 per hundredweight this morning, up 9 cents.

Live cattle futures open UNCH, Front-month feeder cattle futures are also mixed, but mostly lower. Losses are limited to 30 cents in front months, with a 10 cent gain for Jan at midday. The CME Feeder Cattle Index opens $139.99, up 25 cents.

Idaho Hay, supreme quality trading at $180, good quality going for $140 feeder demand steady.
