Bloodhound Gang One Fierce Beer Coaster Album Spotlight
Manage episode 276962562 series 2820596
Burn Motherf*cker, burn.
When those words are said, many people know the song and the tone in which to say them. It's from the classic song "Fire Water Burn" from the Bloodhound Gang, and the song was from their album "One Fierce Beer Coaster". The song took the rock radio airwaves by storm in the mid 1990's which led to future success from the band. But not even a year prior the band was dropped from Columbia records and 3 of the members had left the group. Hear how the Bloodhound Gang went from a rap group to an alternative rock band and how there are two versions of the album, how some tracks on the album were banned and how others were changed to fit the need for a big record label to sign them again.
It's a great behind the scenes music industry story that is interesting to say the least, even more so when the lead singer of the Bloodhound Gang was trying to get onto the Howard Stern Show as an intern before they got big.
Also DJ talks about his experience when hearing the Bloodhound Gang for the first time.
Also in this episode DJ complains about old people in his town and Jimmy hops into the studio to play a new segment called Fun Fact Check, a game going over various fun facts for a chance to win a 5 dollar gift certificate to the Dairy Dip.
This is one great episode full of tomfoolery and fun, be there!
