This week, we delve deeper into the findings of our Global Development Report. Out last week, the report surveyed 160 developers across 22 locations. It found almost six in ten global developers have delayed projects in response to the spread of Covid-19. Of those with delayed projects, more than four in ten are now making changes to designs that were once considered complete. Residential Research Associate Partner Flora Harley and Alexander Lewis, Partner in our Global Development Consultancy team, discuss what development will look like in a post-Covid era.

As global developers grapple with new challenges due to Covid, in the UK Brexit is once again at the forefront of many people’s minds, and for those in the UK with second homes in the EU, there are some serious questions to ponder. Our Head of International Research, Kate Everett Allen chats with Fragomen lawyer Katie Good to work out what second home owners need to think about before the Brexit transition period ends on 31 December.

Others in the UK are increasingly looking closer to home. In the UK, waterfront properties are commanding high premiums. Senior Research Analyst, Chris Druce, talks to Partner and Head of National Waterfront, Christopher Bailey, about the key findings in the 14th edition of Waterfront View, Knight Frank’s annual publication dedicated to showcasing the finest waterfront properties across the UK and beyond.
