#98: The Truth About Marriage & Relationships in 2022
Manage episode 340422817 series 2926563
If you're struggling in your relationship, you're not alone. A study done in 2022 showed that satisfaction in marriages and relationships are at an all-time low. In fact, over 50% of marriages end in divorce, and according to a study by Stanford, relationships under five years old are more likely to fall apart than stay together. But why is this? What's changed?
Some experts believe that the rise of social media is to blame. With platforms like Facebook and Instagram, it's easy to compare our relationships to the "perfect" relationships we see online. We compare our real lives to the highlight reel of someone else's life, and it's easy to feel like we're falling short. Other experts believe that the problem is that we're simply too busy these days. With work and family commitments, it's hard to find time for our partner. We're exhausted by the time we get home, and we don't have the energy to invest in our relationship.
Join us this week in the Love Shack as we answer your questions and for an interesting discussion about how marriage and relationships have changed and how they will change even more in the future. Are you ready?
