Is an exciting initiative and collaboration with local sporting clubs. Building connections and creating opportunities for the Monash community across the winter months.
Skateboard Deck Art – Workshops:
Children aged 7 – 10 create their own work of art with proud Wiradjuri woman and Melbourne-based artist Tricia “Vandal” Van Der-Kuyp, as she hosts free skateboard deck art workshops at Monash libraries during NAIDOC Week. Vandal believes you don’t have to be perfect to be a good artist because art has no rules.
Suitable for ages 7 – 10 years only. Materials supplied. Bookings essential via Trybooking.
Glen Waverley Library – Tuesday, July 6 at 2.30 pm
Clayton Library – Wednesday, July 7 at 2.30 pm
Wheelers Hill Library Thursday, July 8 at 2.30 pm

Walking Basketball – 10.30-11.30am Wednesdays
Walking Basketball is a low impact. A social and fun way to improve levels of physical activity especially for older and inactive people including those recovering from injury.
Walking Basketball is played with a size five basketball on a modified height or lowered ring. Involves five on five game play,
Free followed by morning tea.
Held at Waverley Basketball Stadium 31A Batesford Rd Chadstone.

Light paced and light-hearted join a guided social walking group to meet new people and increase physical activity. Book free classes online Trybooking.

Oakleigh Social Barefoot Bowls – Friday, July 9, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
Barefoot bowls is a social fun event where participants play lawn bowls without shoes or socks or flat-soled shoes (no heels, wedgies or otherwise. Followed by a friendly few drinks purchased from the bar and a FREE sausage sizzle.
Come have an enjoyable afternoon with grass between your toes and a little competitive fun with friends or the family.
Held at Oakleigh Bowling club 87 – 93 Drummond St. Oakleigh.
