Verse 1
The crossing requires that the earthly tabernacle be resolved. One will die once God calls you out of here. You will either die naturally or at the end of time when God calls it to an end. Down here we live in a fleshly house. This house requires a lot of maintenance to keep it up. Yet at some point, the house will fall, and die. If you’re saved you’ll receive a new house not touched by man that will never require maintenance and will live forever in Heaven.

Verse 2
It is not wrong to look forward to death. You will not leave here until God is ready for you. We all have a day of crossing and not a person knows when that is. The flesh will try to live as long as it can but the internal soul longs to be with God.

Verse 3
If you’re saved then you are clothed in Christ, not naked.

Verse 4
Our flesh doesn’t want to die but the saved doesn’t worry or groan about it. Christians long to be at home with God and their Savior. Death is nothing but a door and there is nothing to fear about it. There is nothing about the grave that should be feared because we came from it and the flesh will return back to it. The soul will not be in that deep dark place but in Heaven with its maker. Our flesh is mortal and it must die but the soul if saved will be swallowed up by Jesus Christ.

Verse 5
Two things in this verse prove
God worked it out and there is nothing anyone can do anything about it. God promised that the grave would have no victory and death would have no sting. God will also keep it. The other point is the third part of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit. At salvation, He comes on the scene and sticks closer than a brother and will never leave. If you purchase a vehicle you’ll likely have a loan, that vehicle isn’t yours until it’s paid in full. Your salvation is a great debt that was paid in full and Christ will come to take what He purchased at some point.

Verse 6
Redemption has not yet occurred but it will. As long as you are alive you are just waiting. Don’t worry, God will not forget you.

Verse 7-8
Faith has everything to do with it. If you do not believe in what He has said then it will not help you.

Verse 9
We labor and work for God because He’s coming. Our lives should want to please God every day.

Verse 10
We all have a day that we will all stand before God. We the saved will be judged by Him. The lost will not be judged but cast into Hell. While the saved doesn’t worry about death we should worry about the judgement. Judgment will take place on what we the saved did whether it was good or bad things while we were in the flesh. Will He say, well done to you?
