Did a family move into a brand new house, only to discover that they are not the first ones to live there?
Here is a preview of the story.
“The real, noticeably creepy stuff started a few weeks into it. I was in my kitchen making chili when I heard my front door open. The door was a deadbolt, you had to turn the lock at the top of the door AND turn the knob to even push it open (the deadbolt is always engaged, it was on a spring or something). I look out and see my door cracked open with the deadbolt sitting against the frame. I looked out into the hall and saw nothing, did not hear anything, just empty. I just shrugged it off and went back to my chili.
Then I started to hear my microwave beep. There was not enough space or outlets to leave my microwave plugged in, I had to move it and plug it in when I needed it, so other than that it was always unplugged and in the corner of my kitchen. I was on my couch watching Craig Ferguson and heard the the beep of someone pushing a button on it...again while it was unplugged. There was no other machine or anything that could beep, and it was not the same beep from the smoke detector. This continued every night after this, on top of the random conversations that you could not make out.”
