Meb Keflezighi, Jeffrey Zeizel, and Kathrine Switzer each have experiences at the Boston Marathon that would seem unthinkable if they didn’t happen.

Meb Keflezighi, the first American to win the boston Marathon after the tragic bombing, says, “In a marathon, you don’t break early. You know, you try to hold on, but sometimes you have to listen to your instincts and go for it. And I went for it. I was the fifteenth, or so, fastest guy in the race, but you know, you’ve got to do it that day, and I was so proud to be able to pull the victory for the United States.”

In this episode, you’ll learn:

- How Meb’s family embodying the American dream led to his glorious victory - Jeffrey’s experience being in the Marathon when the bomb went off and how he managed his situation - The lead up, the incident, and the after effects of Kathrine Switzer’s historical run where she was attacked by an official
