Bob Costas, 29-time Emmy winner and the only broadcaster to receive Emmys in the news, sports and entertainment categories, joins this week’s edition of Sports Business Radio. Costas discusses his return to HBO as Host of BACK ON THE RECORD WITH BOB COSTAS, which debuts on July 30 on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.

In this wide-ranging conversation, Costas discusses why he is returning to HBO, his process for interviewing people (and who his favorite interview of all-time is with), how he prepared to call Play-by-Play for some of the most iconic events of the past 30 years including the NBA Finals, Olympic Games, Super Bowls, U.S. Open Golf Championships and Triple Crown races and he shares remarkable stories of his Hall of Fame broadcasting career.

Costas weighs in on whether or not the Tokyo Olympics should be taking place, the high cost of hosting the Olympic games and what the future for MLB looks like with the current labor agreement set to expire before the beginning of the 2022 MLB season.
