In a single combat characters can suffer a glancing blow from a sword, the stinging splash of acid slime, and contend with the migraine of the century from a strong mental blast of a Mindflayer. Regardless of the damage type, characters use the same pool of Hit Points or “HP” to represent the wounds they have suffered. But is all damage created equal or are we just being lazy?
