God is love—he does not send sickness or sin to teach lessons. Returning to the Word refines our vision and renews our minds.

Peter’s call to crave pure spiritual milk invites a new appetite and a new ethic: strip malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander; bless those who cut you off; forgive quickly; speak life. Trade grasshopper vision for promise vision and put on the full armor of God. Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus.
