Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. He joined Caroline in 1977, touring the country with the Caroline Roadshow for 10 years, having great fun. Barry helped with tender trips and worked on the Ross Revenge in '84 and '85. ...

This week the Musicians Guild welcomes Brian Moss (Hanalei) to the hall of discussion. Brian is a musician from the Bay Area who now teaches high school but that hasn't slowed him down as he just finished a new Hanalei full length album which is set to be released on AF Records. Brian is a prolific songwriter as well as being a new father, surfer, and avid outdoorsman. In this conversation we discuss taking time off of teaching to go on tour, his minimalist beach dad approach with his baby, his early years growing up in Berkeley playing Gilman st and Berkeley Square, working on the latest Hanalei record, and lots of reminiscing amidst our many other talking points.
