We've had a face to face guest at long last! It's been so long that hosts Stuart and William, had actually forgotten what it's like to have a guest on the show. Stuart did say as much as he likes working with William, it's nice to have a new voice on the podcast.

Who was the guest they welcomed? It was Dr. Tara Pirie from the University of Reading. Tara developed a passion for wildlife from a very early age, and since graduating as a zoologist has experience as a zookeeper, safari guide, researcher and conservationist. Tara gained her PhD studying leopards and the conflict between them (and other carnivores) and humans while living in South Africa. Although these roles are diverse, they all incorporated aspects of education and conservation, the latter being Tara's area of environmental interest.

Tara will be a guest panelist for the live face to face event being held on the 25th September, scroll down for more details, and how you can book your ticket today.

The three questions discussed for this episode were;

[William's Question] When it comes to travelling around the UK, taking the train is often seen as the worst option. The perception is that they're late, expensive, and slow. This leads to more people flying as the perception is that method is cheaper, more reliable and faster. Is it false economy though, considering the environmental damage the flight industry causes? Is it time we really challenged these assumptions?

[Tara's Question] Do zoos contribute to conservation or are they just entertainment?

[Stuart's Question] Ignoring climate change deniers risks them ignoring us?

ANNOUNCEMENT! The podcast format, for the first time, will be expanded and presented in front of a live face to face audience.

On the 25th September 2021, 4.30pm to 6.30pm, Stuart and William will be jointly hosting, with The Bothy Vineyard, the first ever live iteration of the podcast format.

You can book your tickets today, by following the link below. Apologies for listeners outside of the UK, as this will only be an exclusive in person event, not online, and won't be recorded, or have a 'listen again' option.
