The Junior year is typically "Go Time" for most high school athletes in the recruiting journey. Most athlete's, especially boys, are hitting or starting their physical maturation and athletes are playing on a high level in their sport. College coaches can start contacting high schoolers and visits and offers are eligible in their Junior year.

I tell the stories of both of my son's recruitments as they happened during their Junior years. Both of son's were different, but the basics were similiar as they used there research, their coaches and their contact list to get to the colleges they played for and are playing for.
