In this episode Amrit Bansal is speaking to Sonia Rai, a sevadaar from Sikh Helpline. She discusses the birth of Sikh Helpline and the way it moved from a local to a national service that provides support to people from Sikh and Panjabi speaking communities with a variety of mental health and personal issues.

Sonia talks about the way Sikh Helpline uses data in order to explore the ways in which they can support people from Sikh/Panjabi communities best.


Sonia also discusses the ways in which her mental health have been affected and the ways in which she accessed support in order to help her during her tough times, including post-natal infant mortality.


Sonia also spends time discussing the effects of COVID-19 and a return to the world of work following the acute period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
