Throughout the episode, Haden speaks about what normal anatomy and physiology look like for infant feeding. She reviews the normal suck, swallow, and breath feeding patterns for infants compared to abnormal or unorganized nippling patterns in infants. Haden also reviews other infant feeding topics, such as burst and pause rhythms, nutritive vs. non-nutritive sucking, and common reflexes for babies.
