At mile 9.5 I walked to the side of the road. I took my shoes and socks off, and I quit. There was no way I was going to finish this half marathon. I'm not a runner. What was I thinking when I registered for this four months back?

That was a few days ago and even though my feet haven't fully forgiven me yet, somehow I am sitting here holding my finisher's medal.
