Alan Alexander, a partner in Vinson & Elkins LLP's Energy Transaction & Projects practice and head of its hydrogen and ammonia task force, joins the podcast to discuss the state of the green hydrogen market in the US.
Alexander provides insight on when guidance is coming from the US Department of Energy (DOE) on the production tax credit for Section 45V and when funding is coming from the hydrogen hub pilot program. Alexander also addresses how when combined, both mechanisms, will reduce the cost for GH2 and provides a look at recent European developments and the best commercial uses for GH2 at this juncture.
