في حلقة البودكاست هذه، انضموا إلى ريكاردو كرم وهو يتعمّق في عالم هرير دياربكريان النابض بالحياة والخيال. ولد هرير في بيروت عام ١٩٤٦، وبدأت رحلته الفنية باكراً، مستلهماً أفكار جاره ومعلّمه الفنان الفرنسي رامبو. بدأ مسيرته الفنية في رسم المناظر الطبيعية والصور الشخصية، وهو يدرس الهندسة المعمارية الداخلية في الأكاديمية اللبنانية للفنون الجميلة. مع بلوغه سن الثامنة عشرة، كان قد حصل بالفعل على إشادة من النقاد، وفاز بجوائز مرموقة لتصميمه لنسيج القصر الرئاسي في بيروت عرض أعماله في صالون الخريف السنوي لمتحف سرسق. أخذته مسيرته المهنية إلى مدن أوروبية مختلفة، بما في ذلك باريس وأثينا، حيث اكتسب متابعة دولية. وعلى الرغم من تخليه عن التصميم المعماري للتركيز على الفنون الجميلة، إلاّ أنّ خلفيته المعمارية تظهر بوضوح في لوحاته التي تتميّز بتركيبات منطقية ومتوازنة مليئة بالأشكال والأشكال والأنماط المتكررة. تعمل لوحاته النابضة بالحياة على تفكيك الأشكال الشائعة من سياقها، وتبث حياة جديدة فيها وتخلق عالماً خيالياً ملوّنًاً.

In this podcast episode, join Ricardo Karam as he delves into the vibrant and imaginative world of Hrair Diarbekirian known for his colorful and whimsical paintings. Born in Beirut in 1946, Hrair's artistic journey began early, inspired by his neighbor and schoolteacher, the French artist Rimbaud. Hrair started his artistic career painting landscapes and portraits, eventually studying interior architecture at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) while also taking painting classes with Henri Fortier. By the age of 18, he had already garnered critical acclaim, winning prestigious awards for his tapestry design for Beirut’s presidential palace and his work exhibited at the Sursock Museum’s annual Salon d’Automne.

Hrair's career took him to various European cities, including Paris and Athens, where he gained an international following. Despite abandoning architectural design to focus on fine art, his architectural background is evident in his paintings, which are characterized by logical, balanced compositions filled with repetitive forms, figures, and patterns. His vibrant canvases decontextualize common forms, breathing new life into them and creating a colorful, imaginary universe.
