311 was established in 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska by a group of five close friends: Nick Hexum (lead vocals and guitar), Tim Mahoney (guitarist), SA Martinez (vocals and DJ), Chad Sexton (drummer), and P-Nut (bassist). Over three decades later, they continue to perform together.
Known for their captivating and energetic live performances, 311 blends elements of rock, rap, reggae, and funk to create a distinctive and innovative sound. With a rich history of touring, having played over 2,000 shows in 27 countries, 311 stands out as one of the few bands with the original lineup still intact, sharing this distinction with iconic bands like U2 and Radiohead. Their electrifying concerts and relentless touring have garnered them a dedicated fan base across the nation.
Their annual headline shows at amphitheaters are highly anticipated events during the summer concert season in the United States. Past supporting acts have included renowned names such as Sublime with Rome, The Offspring, Snoop Dogg, and Cypress Hill, among others. With an extensive discography that includes thirteen studio albums, two greatest hits compilations, and multiple live recordings, 311 has sold over 9 million records in the U.S.
Their music has seen significant success on the charts, with ten albums reaching the Top 10 on Billboard's Top 200 Sales Chart and nine singles reaching the Top 10 on Billboard's Alternative Radio Chart, including three number one hits: "Down," "Love Song," and "Don't Tread On Me," as well as other popular tracks like "Amber," "All Mixed Up," and "Come Original."
