Former MiLB catcher and current University of Maine Baseball head coach Nick Derba comes aboard Bats Left Throws Right to discuss his career in the game. Nick was a 3 time captain at Manhattan College and played three summers of baseball for the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. The St. Louis Cardinals picked Nick up in 30th round of the 2007 MLB Draft, an organization he played 6 seasons with, including parts of 3 years with the AAA Memphis Redbirds. After his playing days, Nick first returned to Chatham and Manhattan as an assistant coach, before serving 3 seasons as an assistant for Maine, and assuming the head coaching role in 2017.
