Pfizer reported results for its drug for DMD (Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a legal muscle wasting disease that affects 12k american boys) at the PPMD Conference (Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy). Pfizer 6 patent study, after receiving gene-therapy 2 patents experienced side effects that ended them up in the hospital.
Safety concerns raised at PPMD conference. Sarepta went from being a front-runner to basically a standalone in DMD.
Solid Biosciences $SLDB also popped but their study was already a fail.
