1 Samuel 1 & 2
Verse of the Week: “I prayed for this boy, and the Lord has given me the request that I asked of Him.” ‭‭ 1 Samuel‬ ‭1‬:‭27‬

1. Problems are a fact of life.
“Hannah’s rival wife would provoke her bitterly to irritate her, for the Lord had not enabled her to have children.” ‭‭ 1 Samuel‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭
“It happened year after year” 1 Samuel 1:7

2. You are loved!
“But Elkanah would give a double portion to Hannah, because he loved her.” 1 Samuel‬ ‭1‬:‭5

3. Become desperate before God
“Now Hannah was speaking from her heart. Although her lips were moving, her voice was inaudible. Eli therefore thought she was drunk.” ‭‭ 1 Samuel‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬‬
“I have poured out my soul to the Lord.” 1 Samuel 1:15
“greatly distressed, prayed to the Lord and wept bitterly. She made a vow and said, ‘O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head.”’ 1 Samuel 1:10 & 11
“and the Lord remembered Hannah.” 1 Samuel 1:19

4. Do not limit what God can do
“the Lord had not enabled her to have children.” 1 Samuel‬ ‭1‬:‭5
“for the Lord had not enabled her to have children.” ‭‭ 1 Samuel‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭
