This week the Bklyn Combine met with an amazing group of men responsible for an important documentary that premieres on HBO this Wednesday, August 12, 2020. The film is entitled, Yusuf Hawkins: Storm Over Brooklyn, and tells the story of a black teenager who was murdered in 1989 by a group of young white men in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Join us as we interview one of Yusuf’s close, childhood friends, Charles Darby; Director/Producer, Muta'Ali Muhammad; and Producers, Jevon Frank and Victorious De Costa. We are the Bklyn Combine, a not-for-profit community organization. We work with schools, community organizations, and dedicated city officials to help provide mentorship, critical education, leadership, and social support programs to youth and young adults in low-income and underserved communities.
