How is it that some people who are not Christians seem to exhibit many of the characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit - love, peace, gentleness, etc? How do we know if our characteristics are really from the Holy Spirit or not? The world defines love, peace, self-control, etc in their own way, while the Holy Spirit has His own definition. If we are concerned about producing real Godly fruit in our lives, then we must be concerned with the Holy Spirit's definitions and not the world's.
