As this is a podcast & community for high-performers, many of us are always trying to get an edge, whether that is through knowing more about new cutting-edge strategies, surrounding ourselves with the right people or optimizing our health.

While a lot of our members have quit drinking completely or at the very least drink very little, drinking alcohol has been the norm for the common folks out there.

Today’s guest is James Swanwick who argues that even just a little drink here or there can make the difference between being average to taking absolute control of your life. The reason why he makes that point is that he used to be overweight, drinking regularly, even if it’s just a drink here and there and on the weekend and his energy was simply drained.

He ended up quitting alcohol completely and went on to become an ESPN anchor on SportsCenter, building a million dollar business and being voted one of the top 25 networking experts in 2015 by Forbes.

Here we discuss:

  • Why drinking alcohol will slowly make you average
  • How to easily deal with peer pressure when you’re out with friends or at a party
  • How to optimize your sleep to perform better
  • How to deal with hair loss (something he struggled with for 20 years and finally dealt with!)
