John the Baptist referred to Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. As a result, some of John's disciples begin to follow Jesus. This story is found in John 1:35-51. We see that gift of spiritual discernment comes from the Holy Spirit and is crucial in a believer’s journey.
