n this episode I'll be covering the four Battle Plans from the third week of the "10-4" Program:
Battle Plan – The Enemy’s Playbook: (Lies About Your Money and Finances) The devil loves to tell compulsive gamblers two big lies about your finances. “Your money problems can only be fixed with a big win,” and “You can’t be happy if you’re in debt.” Both are absolutely false. Remember that the big gaming industry’s goal is to make themselves money, not make you money. The system is designed so that the house always wins. And you, my friend, are not the house. Don’t forget the joy that comes from being faithful is what’s going to make you a winner, not playing slots or betting on sports.

Battle Plan – God’s Intel: (The Truth About Your Money and Finances) You don’t have to get out of this the same way you got into it. In fact, you’ll never get out of this the same way you got into it. It’s time to address your money issues and put together a plan of attack. If you have a lot of debt but feel confident you can manage to whittle it down, dive into Dave Ramsey’s “Total Money Makeover” program. It’s popular for a reason. It works. If you’re deep in debt, maxed out on credit cards, and have taken out multiple loans without the ability to start paying them down, then the best option for you is likely debt settlement. Don’t despair over this, but instead consider it a fresh start.

Battle Plan – Weaponry: (Opportunity Knocks) Now is the time to consider the ways you can make extra income to get yourself financially back on your feet. You don’t need to be overwhelmed by this. Think about it as your opportunity to finally do something that you love in life. Give some thought to your favorite hobbies, your passions, and what you’re naturally good at. Instead of spending your evenings and weekends gambling or wallowing away your grief by binging Netflix, put that time to good use. Brainstorm ways you can start a side hustle or a new business.

Battle Plan – Armor: (Nourish Yourself) All those hours you spent noshing on junk food or take-out while gambling didn’t do you any favors. I know I often went several hours without eating and when I finally did, I just grabbed whatever was quick and easy. It’s time to start nourishing your body. An army can’t win battles if its soldiers are weak, underfed, and malnourished. Choose one meal every day to eat without grains or sugar of any kind. Instead, eat meat with vegetables or a salad. Try to incorporate nutrition by picking foods that are packed with protein, amino acids, and micronutrients. Have fun with it and rediscover the joy of food again. It won’t take long before you physically start feeling better. Your body will thank you.
