Video marketing is one of the best ways to reach your target audience in 2022, even as an insurance agent. It is extremely imperative to develop a social media strategy that ranks video as one of the most needed pieces of content you are pushing to your audience. Showing your face, providing education and sharing key information about your business is necessary if you want to reach your target audience.

This episode features Alex Dopazo, partner at Dopazo and Associates Insurance Services in Florida. Alex has been creating videos on YouTube since 2016. As an early adaptor to video marketing, he has had plenty of time to grow his following, create a strategy that works and understand the ins and outs.
Alex has 3 different video series on YouTube that he focuses on for his insurance agency and they all have different end goals and audiences.

- The development of his video strategy
- Working up the courage to start a series and speak to the camera
- What video equipment he uses and recommendations he has for someone looking to start
- Measuring ROI and what numbers matter when you look at your insights

It is easy to get discouraged by creating videos about insurance because your target audience might not provide the vanity metrics you want to show off (follows, likes) but views and click through rates are metrics that you want to measure.

Video is underused in the insurance industry, but there is plenty of opportunity to make it more common. The knowledge insurance agents, brokers and agency owners could grab the attention of a small business owner who may just be starting out. And at what cost does it take to make a video?
