Monique starts off talking about her career as a collegiate athlete and why she didn't want to pursue her professional career after college even though she was a superior athlete. Being a native of Broward County South Florida, she had in her mind that she would utilize her opportunity at getting a scholarship to college in southern California where she attend CSUN on a full ride athletic scholarship. Even though she excelled as a track athlete she always felt the need to live out her passion as a singer rather than do something that she was getting recognition for at the moment. We later converse about the state of R&B music in todays era, as well as what her music style is like and what artist's music or what specific song does she think will stand the test of time 20 years from now.The conversation ends up going a lot of directions, but of course we can't forget about our favorite segment; Marry One, F@%k You, Kill One.
