About Ciaran Finane
One of the big questions for many family businesses is that transfer from the first generation who started the business to the next generation.

Finline Furniture was originally set up by husband-and-wife team Kieran and Brigid Finane in 1979. Recognising the lack of high quality Irish handcrafted sofas and chairs, their vision to fill this gap was the basis on which the business was created and operates today.

Over the next decade, Finline continued to expand and began exporting into the UK and Middle East markets. In 2009, eldest son Ciaran joined the business. As a wholesale-only business, they began to explore new opportunities when the economic downturn of the late 2000’s took hold. Rethinking the business model led them down new avenues and in 2012 the first showroom in the factory in Emo, Co. Laois was opened. More retail operations have followed.

In 2013 younger brother Kilian joined the family business. Kilian working alongside brother Ciaran brought another new dimension to the business.
