The Roof was scarcely visible –

The Cornice – in the Ground –

Since then – 'tis Centuries – and yet

Feels shorter than the Day

I first surmised the Horses' Heads

Were toward Eternity –

我哋經過學校，見到啲小朋友，

喺操場上面玩遊戲；

經過嗰啲金黃嘅田野，

然後見到夕陽慢慢落山。

或者，應該係太陽行過咗我哋，

啲夜霧變得冰冷刺骨，

我只穿住薄紗嘅長裙，

同輕如羽毛嘅披肩。

我哋停咗喺一間屋前面，

嗰間屋凸起喺地上，

屋頂幾乎睇唔到，

屋檐埋藏喺泥土入面。

由嗰日到而家，已經幾個世紀，

但感覺仲短過一日，

我第一次察覺到，馬頭嘅方向，

係向住永恆。
