We lose ourselves in relationships when we give up our goals and dreams, thinking they will lead us away from our partner or that we may lose our lovers if we pursue our deepest passions.⁠ •⁠ But in choosing people over our dreams we lose ourselves. We leave ourselves behind. In that moment we step away from our soul's journey and embark on our own. See how those are different?⁠ •⁠ I think that's the part that's so interesting... That we all know what it's like to be separate from ourselves. The pain and stress that misalignment brings. To look in the mirror and wonder how did we get to this space?! So far from who we truly are.⁠ •⁠ Most people think that we can't undo this. That decisions we've made in the past are our committed destiny. That a dream once ignored is a dream left behind.⁠ •⁠ But have you noticed how most people pursue their dreams - travel, passions, hobbies - whatever, once their relationships end?! We don't need to do that. Pursue your passions from within relationship. Cultivate yourself so you can show up as *all* of you to love. And if your partner can't hold that space for you, then maybe it's best to let it go... Because stopping ourselves from growing for a relationship is the quickest path to a resentful life. We can't. We must not.⁠ •⁠ This is *our* life. We are not prisoners to other people's beliefs and fears. We are our own person. We are allowed to love how we love and dream how we dream. We just need to start.
