The Coffee Hour — Set Apart To Serve: Church Work Formation through Education
Manage episode 449087659 series 3315048
How does Lutheran education support young people considering church work vocations? Sean Martens, LCMS Minnesota South District Education Executive, joins Andy and Sarah for our Set Apart to Serve Series to talk about how he was influenced to consider full-time church work, where he has served as a Lutheran educator and why he is so invested in Lutheran education, his current role in the Minnesota South District and how this District is encouraging young people to consider church work, and his encouragement to other districts to be actively engaged in church work formation and recruitment.
Christ’s church will continue until He returns, and that church will continue to need church workers.
Set Apart to Serve (SAS) is an initiative of the LCMS to recruit church workers. Together, we pray for workers for the Kingdom of God and encourage children to consider church work vocations.
Here are three easy ways you can participate in SAS:
1. Pray with your children for God to provide church workers.
2. Talk to your children about becoming church workers.
3. Thank God for the people who work in your congregation.
