The Kansas Jayhawks and the Kansas State Wildcats are officially joining The North, as on this episode, Kings of the North swells to 28 Power Conference college football teams.
Doug Lesmerises and Bill Landis explain why they are adding these Kansas schools to the teams they will cover, and they reset the state of two rising football programs.
They are aided in that cause by several interviews with Jayhawks and Wildcats:
• Kansas State coach Chris Klieman (9:03)
• Kansas deputy athletic director Collin Sexton (33:11)
• Kansas State safety Marques Sigle (46:49)
• Kansas State athletic director Gene Taylor (53:15)
• Kansas State announcer and former QB Stan Weber (1:09:10)
Then Doug and Bill wrap up with their desire to get to the Kansas-Kansas State game this year, and they look at other major Northern games those two will play against Illinois, West Virginia, Iowa State and others.
