The Anticipation - Pastor Tim Giannosa
Advent, means “coming” or “arrival.” The Advent season is most commonly observed during the four weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s a powerful way to focus our attention on arrival of the Messiah. It’s an opportunity to rejoice in His arrival and the promises of God. These weeks can help kindle afresh our affections and our longing for Jesus Christ, far above the presents, far above the trees and the lighting, far above all the decorations, as we lift our hearts and our eyes upward to Christ that we might seek, savor and worship Him. It’s a time to slow down and think about why Jesus Christ came into the world.
