Numbers 20:12 – “But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you have not believed me, to treat me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.” Please note that the 1st part is in English, and the 2nd part is in Malayalam starting at 15:35 mark.
Throughout the Bible we see incidents of disobedience and arrogance from people, which had provoked God and He punished them. Seven incidents of such punishment are discussed.
When the Israelites were in the desert, once there was no water for the congregation, they assembled themselves against Moses and Aaron. Then Moses and Aaron came in from the presence of the assembly to the doorway of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to them. God asked Moses to hold the rod and command the rock to bring forth water. God intended to do this for His glory. Instead of commanding the rod, Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod. Water came forth abundantly, and the congregation and the beasts drank. God, who helped and accompanied Moses and Aaron from the very beginning, determined not to let them enter Canaan as a punishment. Instead, Joshua led them to Canaan. May this message be a turning point in the life of everyone to repent, ask forgiveness for sins, and obey the teachings of God in order to escape His punishment and inherit the kingdom of God.
