The Philadelphia 76ers fell to Los Angeles Clippers 110-98 to drop to 1-6 on the season. Paul George netted 18 points in 24 minutes against this old team, while Tyrese Maxey scored 12 points, all coming in the first half. Maxey then left the game after the 3rd quarter due to hamstring soreness and did not return.

Nick Nurse said Maxey will be “checked out” after the game and did not offer more information in his postgame press conference except that sitting Maxey out was “really precautionary.”

Despite the Sixers turning the ball over 12 times in the first half, the game was tied at 51 at the break. Then, the wheels came off for the Sixers.

The Clippers outscored the Sixers 33-17 in the 3rd quarter and took controlled the game the rest of the way.
