Washington Commanders CB Emmanuel Forbes had a rough rookie season but with the addition of new HC Dan Quinn and his Cover-3-based defense, Forbes makes the list of 2nd-year breakout candidates. Buffalo Bills lost Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis this off-season opening more opportunities for 2nd-year TE Dalton Kincaid to assume the lead target share role early in 2024. Lastly, the Miami Dolphins will need CB Cam Smith to take over as a starter this season after releasing veteran CB Xavien Howard.
