New episode of Love&BLoved Podcast! My guest says: “I will discuss how critical it is that all healthcare professionals be properly educated on Human Trafficking, in particular nurses.”

Joining me today is Dr. Francine Bono-Neri. She as over 30 years of experience working with the pediatric population as a registered nurse and pediatric nurse practitioner. She currently serves as an academic nurse educator, health policy advocate, and leader of numerous professional organizations. Francine served as a Director-at-Large on the BOD for ANA-NY, is the immediate past-president of the Long Island Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), and is the co-founder and president of Nurses United Against Human Trafficking, PA. Her hopes are to raise awareness and increase knowledge of Human Trafficking to all nurses, with her goal of starting robust education on this topic beginning in undergraduate studies.

On today’s episode Dr. Francine Bono-Neriis is going to share:

1) Raising awareness in the public about the pervasive nature of human trafficking.
2) Discussing NUAHT, empowering with resources and education.
3) Dissemination, prevalence, receptiveness and lack of awareness obstruct anti-trafficking efforts.
