The MF crew welcome in rules expert Christina Unkel to react to the recent reports of the MLS referee lockout ending and what this means for not only the refs, but the league and the fans. This is a seven year agreement and covers the center referees, assistant referees, and the VAR referees. Better pay and conditions were met for the refs, however, better travel accommodations were not which will remain a sticking point for them. And with this new deal begs the question, 'Will this usher in new potential talent that will want to become referees," as the the lockout has exposed a lack of depth when it comes to the job.
