Jocelyn Nungaray's body was discovered in a bayou close to her residence in Houston on Monday, following her departure from home at 10pm.
Charged with capital murder are two suspects, Johan Jose Martinez Rangel, 22, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26.
According to authorities, the duo, who were residing in the U.S. unlawfully from Venezuela, reportedly enticed Jocelyn beneath a bridge, detaining her for over two hours, potentially subjecting her to sexual assault after restraining her and removing her pants.
After committing their heinous acts, they purportedly strangled the child to death before discarding her body into Greenpoint Creek.
