Manage episode 339210515 series 3388545
Woodrow Wilson delivered his first inaugural address on March 4th, 1913. Read by Yuvraj Singh. The only PhD to have been a president, Wilson came into power after Theodore Roosevelt split the Republican party. After World War I broke out in 1914, Wilson kept the US neutral. He would go on to win his 2nd term with “He kept us out of war” (though narrowly). A month after winning, the US would enter World War I.
The cover art is an 1935 portrait of Woodrow Wilson by Frank Graham Cootes.
